Dinner at Sultan’s Kitchen in Istanbul
Last weekend, I went to Sultan’s Kitchen, a traditional Turkish restaurant in the heart of Istanbul. It is close to the Blue Mosque, so it’s easy to find. The place is popular with both tourists and local people.
The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside. There are colorful lights and a small fountain at the entrance. Inside, the walls are decorated with Turkish carpets and lamps. The music is soft and relaxing — perfect for a nice dinner.
The waiters were very friendly and spoke good English. They helped us choose some traditional dishes. First, we had lentil soup, which was warm and tasty. Then we ordered kebabs, grilled chicken, and a plate of meze — small dishes like hummus, olives, and yogurt. My favorite was the Adana kebab — spicy and full of flavor!
For dessert, we had baklava with pistachios and a cup of Turkish tea. It was sweet and delicious. The tea was strong, but I really liked it.
The prices were good for the area. It wasn’t cheap, but it wasn’t too expensive either. We paid around 300 Turkish Lira for two people, including drinks.
I really enjoyed my dinner at Sultan’s Kitchen. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the place felt cozy and special.
