Extensive Reading Program
Hi everyone, and welcome to "Healthy Eating Tips Podcast"!
I'm your host, Talal Omar.
Today, we're going to chat about something really important for all you teenagers out there: healthy eating!
Being a teenager is an amazing time. You're growing quickly, you have lots of energy – or at least, you need lots of energy for school, maybe sports, seeing your friends, and all your hobbies. That's why it's so important to eat well. But don't worry, eating healthy doesn't have to be difficult, and it certainly doesn't have to be boring. I have some simple advice for you.
Okay, first tip: Try to eat a variety of foods. What does 'variety' mean? It means eating lots of different things. Your body needs different stuff to grow strong and stay healthy. So, make sure you include plenty of fruit and vegetables in your meals every day. Think about eating things like carrots, green beans, nice pears, or juicy melons. These give you important vitamins. Also, choose foods like bread, pasta, rice, and cereal. If you can, choose the 'whole grain' types – like brown bread or brown rice. These are great because they give you lots of energy to keep you going!
Second tip, and this is a big one: Don't miss meals! Especially breakfast. I know, sometimes mornings are busy, but breakfast really helps you start your day well. It wakes up your brain and can help you concentrate better at school. What can you have? It doesn't have to be big. A bowl of cereal with some milk or yogurt is perfect. Or maybe some toast with jam or a little bit of honey. Easy, right?
Okay, third tip: Be careful with snacks and drinks. Look, it's OK to have things like sweets, crisps, or fast food like burgers sometimes. They're a treat! But try not to have them every single day. Why? Because too much sugar and fat isn't very healthy for your body in the long run.
So, what can you snack on? Choose healthier snacks! Fruit is fantastic. Yogurt is good. Or even a small sandwich. And what about drinks? Drink plenty of water! Water is the best. Try to drink less sugary soft drinks like cola or lemonade. Milk and fruit juice are also good choices, but water is number one.
And finally, the last tip: Listen to your body. Your body is pretty clever. It usually tells you what it needs. So, try to eat when you feel hungry, and stop eating when you feel full or satisfied. You don't always need to finish everything on your plate if you're not hungry anymore.
So, there you go! Four simple tips. Remember: eat a variety of foods, don't skip breakfast, be smart about snacks and drinks, and listen to your body. Eating healthy really helps you feel good, have more energy, and stay fit. It's worth it!
That's all we have today on "Healthy Eating Tips Podcast".
Thanks for listening.
Take care, eat well, and join us next time! Bye for now.
Reading Tips: How to Get the Most from This Book
Read for meaning. Focus on understanding the main ideas rather than every single word. Encountering unfamiliar vocabulary is normal — use context to help you interpret meaning.
Keep a steady flow. Try not to stop too often. Reading continuously improves comprehension and helps you follow the development of ideas more naturally.
Listen and read together. Use the audio version while reading. This strengthens understanding, improves pronunciation, and develops your sense of rhythm and intonation in English.
Read regularly. Short, consistent reading sessions are more effective than occasional long ones. Re-reading sections you enjoy can further reinforce learning.
Engage with the text. Think about what you read. Asking simple questions and reflecting on ideas deepens comprehension and improves retention.
Extensive Reading Program - A2 Level
The Extensive Reading Program helps learners improve their English step by step, from level A1 to level C2. At the A2 level, students read simple texts that are a little longer and more interesting. They learn to understand the main ideas and talk about them with more confidence.
Reading regularly helps students learn new words. For this reason, the books, articles, and stories in this program are carefully written to include useful words and expressions for A2 learners. This helps students learn vocabulary naturally while they read.
Students can use this program by themselves or with a teacher in class. The levels make it easy to see progress, feel proud of improvement, and continue learning English through reading.
